I'm wanting to get one, but don't have a clue about them..

Do some have lower interest rates than others?

I only really want one as i am limited at the monemt as to where i can use my debit card, and i've noticed alot of web sites only allow you to pay with credit cards

well i've been trying to book a flight and they will only accept a credit card

Nah, they only option for payment there was by credit card..

Don't some cards have 0% interest for a certain period of time though? I could pay it off straight away as i have the money in the bank - it's just the fact they wont accept my bank card or anything.

yes yo can get 0% credit card IF you have a good credit rating (ie you must have had some form of credit in the passed and not missed any payments, no credit is as bad as poor credit)

Which company will only accpet credit cards?? i really dont belive that as companies get charged for accepting them over debit cards

I found booking flights and holidays I could only use a credit card, I just got my dad to put it on his and paid him back straight away.

I said my credit card was just for emergencies but then I started using it have just cleared it all off though

But companies often charge a 2% fee or something for using a credit card so it's a bit shit :fart:

I've had harsh overdrafts and credit agreements in my time but never a credit card, im thinking with the way i spend cash a card would always be a bad idea even if i did tell myself id pay it straight back.

altho it says credit card they will accept a visa debit card.

i always just use visa debit card (not a visa electron) cos credit cards are a BAD idea

had 5 at one point and went wild

paid em all off and closed the accounts cos the twats kept sendin me new cards if i just cut em up :laugh:

You's were right you can use visa debit - however i can't use mine as it is a fucking visa electron:evil:

Will i be able to get visa debit just be requesting one from the bank? Whats the difference between a visa debit and visa electron? Has it got something to do with you being able to get an overdaft on the visa debit?

visa electron is just like a cash card really. given to younger ppl or ppl just jolining a bank.

then after a while and once ur over 18 the bank usually just sends u an upgraded card. if they aint just pop in and ask them, tell them u want a proper debit card. either a switch card or a visa debit. they will give u one
