Sky is saying 45, BBC is still saying 2, but the BBC is a lot more cautious with its sources.

my point exactly, newcastle is very well known which in this case can go against us :(

Can't see them targetting newcastle, it wouldn't achieve much, and wouldn't particularly affect the country's infrastructure.

    Touch wood.

two seperate points, i meant if the canary wharf story is true..

as for newcastle, theres no motive for an attack, its a small city and it most sensitive building is probs the dwp!

i assume the cops are covering every mainline train station in the country..

i dont think it so much the building, but the effect it could have, youve got numerous places such as metrocentre, eldon square, etc

its just gettin worse, how people can cause such things and be proud of the achievement

There's far more important/busier places than newcastle....

doesn't mean we should be complacent

Terrorists will tend to go for infrastructure, rather than body count. Blowing up the Metrocentre would be spectacular, and probably cause a lot of deaths, but bringing London to a standstill has a far greater effect on the country.

The other things they could go for would be electricity generators, gas pipelines, financial hubs (similar to WTC attack) etc. Shopping malls hardly have the same effect.
