320 just sounds better, it has less compression on it so therefore less of the sound is lost. 192 can sound a little crap on a big club system if u know what to listen out for, whereas 320 is pretty much very close to normal cd sounding. U'd a very clean and clear system to notice the difference between 320 and a cd.
played side by side with an original copy then yes but to be fair all the major djs have used and do use 192kb rips and generally no one would batter an eyelid in the middle of a set while they are dancing.
nice1 son' the sounds im getting are punchey as fuck... it maybe just the switch from vinyl :spangled:
mp3 compression tends to eliminate the extreme high and low, even more noticeable if the compression is VBR (variable bit rate) rather than CBR (constant bit rate) so the mid can appear enhanced and more punchy. consequently, most club sound systems are equed in such a way to boost the hi's and low's more than the mid so you will get a more rounded sound than a record which will just seem to have more bass, unless you are in the club early on when your ears can still hear above 14khz before aural degredation sets in. even with my crap hearing, i can tell the difference between 128k, 192k and 320k and a wave file on my monitors... how geeky lol get 320k mp3s if u can, on a big system it is noticeable unless the mp3 is above 224k (or very well mastered) imho anyway
