I thought there was a film out years and years ago??

I can sort of remember a film where space ships come out of the earth, and then they die because of a disease on earth??

cant quite decide if im excited about war of the worlds or not. Not a big fan of spielberg or cruise to be fair, tho the original story is immense. Just depends how they have gone about it but i cant see it being all that great to be fair.

there was but it was rubbish, the aliens did not even have legs cos the special effects would of been too hard so they made them float

I'm feeling that one young man. Romero is the daddy of the zombie genre. Got some crushing feedback Stateside but what the fuck do they know??! Read the script online late last year and there's some interesting stuff there. Bring it on :cool2:

Oh and Simon Pegg cameoing as Day of the Dead's BUB. Enough said.

But oh, WOW looks good. I recall hearing the original broadcast on tape a few years ago and of course the blinding album version with the bombastic score  Orson Welles read the original broadcast out I believe.

The one thing I remember distincly thinking when eatching the trailer for this version was how much I liked Tom Cruises jacket.. funny how your mind wanders...

Went to see it last night - was impressed as i think it's hard to make a film about aliens without being too corny! They pulled it off well...was on my seat pretty much the whole film - some funny gags too :)

Thats how the original one was tho. I thought it was gash how the son was home at the end. I mean How on Earth did he manage that?? Shouldnt he have died in a ball of flame???

Went to see this yesterday! i must say i really enjoyed it, was on the edge of my seat straight away! Tom Cruise really impressed me too, definetly one of my favourite actors at the moment! Tim Robbins scared me tho, he seemed to start off with this weird accent, then it suddenly died off. Special effects were immense!
