well if thats what makes a dj great what I see him do at Glastonbury

wave your arms in the airs dance and blow an airhorn at the crowd now and again then why dont we all get the gigs

fact is his mixing and tune selection was shit, he would have got them going mental if hed dropped lots of his stuff. like basement jaxx set for instance, now that was something good.

PGR have def got potential, they play some good stuff and diverse. But they are def not as good as some people claim them to be. Not saying they are bad, just not brilliant. I feel their sets sometimes don't flow very well and their mixing could be tightened up although it is harder to mix diverse styles.

    I agree totally

not saying I dont enjoy them, just overated and I think if they learnt how to mix better and watch which records the crowd was responding to they would go much further

For my money, PGR are comfortably one of the most forward thinking and entertaining acts in the North East, I doubt there are many acts around that could hold a crowd waiting for Felix Da Housecat (who draws a more mainstream and mixed crowd than the average Wax:On guest) while his planes held up in Ibiza.

Many of the people in Friday's crowd'll be raving about tunes they heard PGR play in six months and forgetting where they heard them first.

I'm not saying this because they're wax:eek:n residents, it's because I think this that they are wax:eek:n residents...

I meant yous are overated in this town by people mainly on this message board.
People I talk to in certain other Friday nights not to different from waxon say the same.

Im not having a go personally, just theres far better technically adapt DJs with just as good tune selection in this city, who read the crowd better.

Maybe they hang round in the wrong circles or dont work as hard :) but they are talented and underated

I give up djing years ago because I know Im crap, thats how I can tell a good one when I hear one.

My taste was hardcore jungle at the time, but have chilled somewaht since those days, more into kruder and dorfmiester and shit now

like I say, have heard some nice tunes from you guys, but sometimes not at the right time of night I reckon, bit up and down if you naa what a mean

I've got a lot of respect for PGR, they've got to where they are with lots of hard work. I'll admit that not all of their stuff is my cup of tea, but I've heard them play really well (last time I was at tokyo) and I take my hat off to them, they're where they're at because they deserve it.

You don't get as far up as that by being shite - It's dead easy for someone to slate them - personally I'd like to see that person be able to do better, it's not easy....
