Have you seen the prices of tickets for these people have put on EBAY??? What a joke as if anyone would pay that much :evil:

Apparently it's cos Ebay are paying the fees or something and donating them to Live 8 so people are bidding up that high so they donate loads or something along those lines.

That concert for charity with loads of starts singing in Hyde Park, the only way to get tickets was to text in and it was a lottery as to who won.

I've realised now that people are bidding so high so that Ebay has to pay laods to charity, was having a blonde moment for a second!!

Did you see the message from Ebay justifying why they are letting people sell free tickets??? "We are allowing the sale of tickets because we believe that people can make up their own minds about what they buy and sell. The reselling of charity concert tickets is not illegal under English law and eBay believes it is a fundamental right for someone to be able to sell something that is theirs whether they paid for it or won it in a competition." Or so I can sell whatever i want can I??? Theyve changed their tune very quickly. Hypocrates!

Some one tell me this isnt true?

The reason why they are bidding that much is because Ebay have agreed to donate all of the fees they get from the seller to the Live 8 fund. Therefore people are bidding 10million and when the bidding ends Ebay will donate the amount the seller normally pays, think it's about 10% to Live 8. So realistically noone will actually pay for the tickets but Ebay will be forced to pay all of the sellers fees which will be hundreds of thousands of pounds.

nah the person still pays the amout bid (10mil) ebay just pay the bit they make back.

i checked out the bid history on one and they are putting like 99,000,000 then cancelling at the last minute then there is no sale for the seller

There are some on there who genuinely want to sell there tickets so when people are bidding ridiculous prices they know they won't get the moeny so are cancelling the stupid ones to try and get some money out of it

eBay have banned all Live8 Ticket sales, they have all been pulled.

Or do the decent thing sell them but put all procedes to charity IE make no profit @ all
