    I need a venue

I've managed to blag a very big name DJ for an underground party, but my venue's fallen through, I'm desperate for a warehouse or a barn or a skate park or anything indoors... it has to be legal, because there's some corporate sponsorship involved...

    Any Ideas?

I can't give the name away, but its very cool... A-list,
The venue has to be legal, but I can probably pay, and any empty building I can drive a truck into will work...

You'll hvae difficulty lisencing any normal venue as newcastle city council are goons, takes months of paper work and shit.... if your a good blagger (Which I guess you are as you have an a-list dj :D ) your better off hiring an existing club some of them are available during the week but weekend slots are near impossible. But during the week their are alot of free nights (they aint cheap though - I think playrooms is the cheapest?)...

But to put a party on in a barn or warehouse is hella hard :D

Your best bet is talking to some of the promoters that use this board they're all friendly beggers (Mark- Promise, B.O.B, Fizz).

this is for real as i know goose and who he works for. lets just say that the dj in question is playing in the north east on the night in question and is rolling up to this party as the company behind it is simply HUGE. lets just hope it goes ahead as i know goose is having serious problems getting a venue

How big does the venue need to be? There are a few 100-200 capacity places, but not many bigger than that. Has he tried both Universities, Assembly Rooms (bit of an odd one I know), St James' Park? What night of the week is it on (if a week night will be much easier to find a venue)?

I think downstairs at the uni is ur best bet!

the company involved doesn't promote parties as they are word of mouth. when all is confirmed i'm sure you'll all be informed but i know there are still problems with the venue. if it does go ahead then it will be awesome.

i'll give you a clue about the dj...sugarshack!!!

and no its not one of their residents

OK I cant decide between these

Lisa Lashes, Jeremy Healy and Junior Sanchez

They are the only people on the listings who I would class as ahem A list DJ's :p
