I got a mortgage when I was 18, but my dad was my guarantor, don't you have anyone who could act as one for you till you're 25?

I can get one in my own name but only through a limited number of lenders. Nothing to do with my income, purely age! Bit like car insurance really, some insurers won't touch drivers under 18/21/25yrs. Once I hit 25 (not until next Feb), the market opens up a lot more! Got one arranged in principle but still shopping around. Can't afford to miss out whilst trying to get something arranged.

Need to speak to HSBC though, mentioned graduate mortgage to mortgage advisor who said they're one of the best.

Got a house viewing tonight, fingers crossed! Last 3 I've requested viewings on had sales agreed just before I got to see them! If this happens again, I'll start to think it's a conspiracy against me...!

I put an offer in on a place the other week, only to find out that there had been at least 8 other offers in!!! Place had only been on the market 6 days! Still waiting to hear if it's sucessful but I doubt it. There's too many landlords/investors out there who can afford more than your average first time buyer.

Not going to get anywhere the size of my flat though, bedroom in it is pretty big! Looked at new (ish) houses but they're tiny! Don't want to move away from the coast either if I can avoid it but it's looking that way... See what this place is like tonight though, just by to Tynemouth Swimming Pool, hope it's nice!!!
