I think its because most of them are musical geniuses and can release loadz and loadz of tunes because they think of new ones every day so the record labels are only aloud to release a certain amount of tunes by one person a year so they alternate there names so they can release more tunes in a year.
The real reason... The real reason artists have multiple guises, is all down to exposure, or overexposure. If 10 Ferry Corsten tracks came out in a month, you would get bored with the similar production sound and style of each track. This would be reflected in sales, i.e. you would buy something else. To get round this, artists use different identities; this takes the emphasis away from the main artist, giving an impression of variety and choice. This is why, for example, Tijs remixes as Tiësto and Magik Muzik to name but a few. It's just a marketing ploy to make people buy more records. Repeat perscription... You would mate, over exposure happens all the time. Most producers only release one or two tracks a month just for this reason. It keeps market demand high. Lee
If i got ten promos of tiesto tunes every month i wouldnt be bored at all id be swarmed with tiesto tunes but u pick 10 tiesto tunes there all differnt as if they could of been made by differnt artists. anyway it aint gona happen so pointless ribbiting on bout it.:groovy:
