    Long Haul Flights

Who's been on a long haul flight before?? Whats it like? Im starting to dread mine, even tho its not til September  Realised at the weekend that I really dont enjoy being on an airplane for more than 5 minutes and am not looking forward to the 11 hour flight to and from Hong Kong :(

Do you get much more space? Will the doctor give me something to knock me out for that long?? What do you do for that amount of time??? Omg, what if theres a screaming kid next to me all the way???

I think Im making myself scared of flying!

    Re: Long Haul Flights

I havent BUT my mam has recently been to america for the 1st time , she only went for a week and said it took her half of that to get back to normal after the flight n all the exchanges etc , and said when she wasnt on the plane she felt like she was constantly in a que for sumit !!

I really fancy going to places like Japan etc but i get really uncomfy and agitated on flights so i reckon id have to try n take sumit to knock me out for the journey , maybe a space cake would do the trick b4 hand lol , i cant handle hash so last time i had a cake i was a kip for nearly 12 hours !!!

its boring after a while tho. the food is shit so take your own on with u.

u get your own tv screen and can choose wot to watch but is normally 4 films on and only 2 of them r decent the rest of the channels r old comedy from bbc or news.

take a good book and just try and sleep if u can. i always kick ppl in the seat infront of me when im tryin to get comfy to sleep

Iv only been on one long haul and that was when i was a kid to america. So im guessin i wasnt pretty much bothered by it, cos well kids never really are bothered about stuff like this are they. I do remember bein sat on the floor playin where the wing seat is tho, cos there is quite a lot of space and the airplane staff didnt mind. So you could always do that to pass the time:p

nah u dont get that much more room  is better than ones to europe and stuff but not by much. u want to try and get to the sirport early and ask if they hav any seats with extra leg room. sometimes they do but some airlines make u pay for it an du hav to book it in advance.

Man :( I need more space for my butt, so I can wiggle to make myself comfy :p I dont like reading when I travel either cos makes me feel abit sick. Im gonna hate this flying lark.

My flight plan is preety harsh tbf :( An hour down to Heathrow, then onto an 11 hour flight to Honk Kong, 3 days later just under 4 hours to Bangkok, then an hour or so down to my island. Thats just to get there!! And its longer on the way back!!! Got like 15 hours flying straight off.   Must have different flight paths or something

I might to that. I'll check their website when I get home and see if it says anything. Think it'll be worth it.
