    stupid thread

john kelly has always played regular at promise, as has other trance dj's such as ornadel, hardwick, fleming ect, even in the tyrant residency days trance dj's still played regular. i used to like the prog nights but some of the turn outs were appauling, as a night its in a much healthier situation now.

Although people like Ornadel and Kelly have always regularly played, the lineups were undeniably predominately progressive for the 1st year or so. A lot of them were really dead though.
Best time was for about a year when the prog and trance were crossing over

jan 2002- i samw lucien foort then matt hardwick
feb 2002- guy ornadel and chris fortier on the same night
apr 2002- guy ornadel and slacker
may 2002- dave seaman and yves deruyter

this was the best time for promise in my opinion,k prog and trance and a healthy mix of both

or maybe the music isnt as much to your liking anymore?

i used to enjoy it more but everytime i go i still manage to have a good night so im not gonna knock the night at all, there are just other things out there that i prefer, mainly because i have seen most of the dj's more than once and that kinda means i dont have the passion to see the same linups... if a lineup looks good to me ill be there in a shot, but recent trance and hh just dont inspire me

still i would never criticise the night or anyone who enjoys it as it is a good laugh and i hope it goes from strength to strength! I have had some awesome nights there!

    Smog :D

Promise doesn't do HH anymore though does it? Well... apart from Lashes the other week!

Been to far better places listening to HH. I think the atmosphere is pretty poor in Foundation to be honest! More to do with the layout and size of the club though rather than the music played. You don't get the same kind of "up for it" crowd up here either that you do in say Birmingham or Leeds... For HH at least anyway! :)
