    Strongest ecomomy in decades
-> No its not. Just because gordon brown says it is - doesnt mean its true. Even the IMF commented on how Browns spending was going to mean heavy taxation in the coming years to finance it.

    Best unemployment figures for decades
    -> Debateable

    Cancelled world debt
-> Other countries have done this. Big deal.

Most families a LOT better off
-> Thats strange, last week the newspapers had stories about how the average family was worse now than it was last year. And as much as families are important, what about the REST of the country who get taxed to kingdom come

    Send Million to Tsumi appeal
-> Big deal. Every other country did.

Could you substantiate your argument with statistics please - otherwise its just opinion :D
    Please elaborate...

But on the economy we have the lowest inflation since the 60s, the lowest mortgage rates for 40 years, the lowest unemployment figure in 29 years, one of the strongest economies/currencies in Europe...

    LOL no it isnt.

What?!?!? Of course its a big fucking deal, it should still be applauded.

Your entire argument revolves around ill conceived personal thought, you control the discourse with jibes of "bullshit", until you provide a counter argument to disprove what has been said you have no grounds to throw around your nonsense, well you can throw it around just those with any sense will probably ignore it :D

    ooooooooook

brid I expected better from you :D

-> Rates are now up to 4.75 and they are going only one way - UP. Why, because we have to follow US monetary policy to protect the value of the pound. The USA will be putting rates up steadily this year and we will have to do the same. When that happens its curtains for all the people who bought overpriced houses on three year fixed rate terms.

Inflation numbers are being fiddled all the time. House price inflation isnt figured in the numbers, nor are a load of very important things which would push those figures up a massive amount. If you followed the government inflation calculation arguments you'd know this. Every time something goes up in price, the chancellor takes it out of his 'basket of goods' and disregards it in inflation calculations.

    Try harder next time.

What?!?!? Of course its a big fucking deal, it should still be applauded.

-> If its something that most other countries and governments did, then it doesnt single labour out as being any better or worse than the tories, which Cole seems to think this is about.

If the US plunges into a recession all of Europe (not just the UK) will have to raise rates to prevent a sharp rise in capital flow from Europe to the US. Seems a silly arguement to weild when its universal to any politcal party?

Brought back matrons to hospital wards
New Deal - helped over a million people into work
Child benefit up 25 per cent since 1997
Created Sure Start to help children from low income households
    Introduced the Disability Rights Commission
£200 winter fuel payment to pensioners & extra £100 for over-80s
Over 28,000 more teachers in England schools
All workers now have a right to 4 weeks’ paid holiday
Record rises in the state pension
700,000 children lifted out of relative poverty
Introduced child tax credit giving more money to parents
Cut long-term youth unemployment by 75 per cent

what a complete and utter wanker you are.

do you realise the arguments you use to disregard everyones elses opinions, can be used to disregard nearly all of yours.

you have such a high opinion of yourself. (unjustified by all accounts).

    your a useless prick.

    unjustified?

You've obviously never met me homeslice.

The argument I used to discredit brid (although the boy bounced back :D) could not be applied to me as I presented my pov with the justification that brought about that conclusion.

My opinion may be incorrect and flawed but I have provided the platform for others to at least comprehend my reasoning... Brid forgot to do this ;)

Are you seriously suggesting employment statistics are down on the tories?

This is more to do with cultural changes than the government, labour isn't the cause and the same issues would of arose under a tory givernment - labour are now tackling these issues.

I'd be interested on rival party policy though?

Did you make regular hospital visits 8 years ago?

Then explain why each generation is getting progressively smarter?

You're a fucking idiot, so we should do away with child support?!?!?!?

I'm not even going to waste my breath.

But... most of those figures are flawed - I'm not going to argue how and why, all I'll say is 21% of 750,000 people don't believe in accurate statistics. ;)

Anyways, my argument is about who the government makes it's policies for - almost every one is to make some rich corporation better off (war, id cards, PFI contracts, increase in State Pension age, list goes on, etc). And with the amount of propoganda being force fed to us, so many people are apathetic and couldn't give a shit. We're supposed to applaud and respect successful businessmen/companies that have companies with £10 billion annual profits. Fuck that, that kind of greed is keeping people starving in the world. (their companies are keeping people starving too by exploitation of the third world anyways)

@ Si - just a thought, you mention identity theft... not saying it doesn't happen or owt, but have you noticed how it was simply referred to as fraud until the government proposes ID cards? Funny that.

OK well its a FACT that HPI isnt included in the governments inflation figures.

With that in mind, given the massive hyperinflation of the housing market in the past few years,.... we are being told that inflation is being kept on target - yet i know people who bought houses five years ago for a quarter of what they cost to buy now.

Does the government figure that in its inflation calculations? Nosir.

One of the Labour pledges was to prevent the housing market from getting out of hand - ........ something it didnt deliver. Wheres the accountability now?
