    Lol - 56 000? How did they arrive at such a bone an meaninless figure? 1 quarter of the population divided by 250, so a 1 in 250 mortality rate?

    If the flu virus took on a really deadly character and remained airborne in transmission, put that rate up to say 1 in 20 and you have about 750k dead. Multiply as required. Intersesting.
