    Temp internet files

    Sorry I know its the wrong forum but I saved about 4 or 5 pages of work ive done tonight after downloading it from my hotmail....It is nowhere on my computer and im 100% certain I saved it...I now realise it has come under temp internet files when I saved it but I just didnt think to look when saving it before...Theres no way I can get it back is there? :( Its in first thing tommorow :(

    you could try looking at ya recent documents list in the start menu?

    Go back to your hotmail account and download it again.

    I did but I had added about 4 more pages worth of work! Oh well just have to do it again :(

    Temp internet files are stored in "C:\Windows\". So try checking in there (if you already havn't of course).

    Go to "My Computer" then "C" drive then "Windows" should be a file called "temp internet files" could be in there.

    Its gone, its over. Im gona have bags under my eyes like dirty den 2moro after i stay up till a good 3 in the morning trying to redo the work ive lost :cry2: :cry:!!

    Should always save to a disk, floppy or a data cd.

    there is another temp internet folder on your computer but you need to be able to see the hidden folders on your computer to see it

    the directory is

    C:\Documents and Settings\My Computer\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

    if you can't find the local settings folder, you need to go to control panel, then folder options, then click on the view tab that appears and select view hidden files and folders.

    If you done this work in word then you should be able to access it from the "open recent" file menu..

    Hope its not too late..
