    5.1 problems

    my mate has asked me to find him a program that allows 5.1 digital surround sound.

    i cant find one...

    does anyone know of anything to cure this mans problem for movie like sound when watching anything !!!

    eh?

    u can't listen to anything in 5.1 unless it's got a decoder built in, like powerdvd.

    The source needs to have an AC3 soundtrack aswell. If not then the best you can hope for is Pro Logic 2 which splits a stereo soundtrack to imitate 5.1 but it doesn't sound like the original IMO.
