    Door Supervisors Poll

Inspired by Smithy's thread, it does seem to me that door staff problems happen mainly to the males. (or maybe the girls just aren't really posting.

This poll applies to all door staff, not just the foundation ones, just your feelings to people in the role of door supervisor.

Please vote, just so that I can get a more accurate result.

    Thankyou.

They have a job to do under difficult circumstances. Not only health and saftey issues but concerns of owners of establishments too. they don't want to get a reputation of having a drug culture in a club or bar or a 'drunken yobs scrap here' image... they have to be seen to protect the everyday punter and keep the peace.

 in my opinion and i've had numerous run-ins with bouncers across the country but u will always get a minority of knobbers - probably about the same ratio of punters ;)

bouncers have a hard job to do and i think most do it well, sometimes they make mistakes and the wrong person gets kicked out or knocked back, but they cant be right everytime....considering how much hasstle they must get on a daily basis doing their job, i think most handle it pretty well!

yeah, they have hard jobs, but so do brain surgeons, its not exactly in the same leauge though is it?? the only one which is a good comparison is police men, who deal with twats everyday, and generally they are cocks, maybe not in real life, but when they are donig their jobs they are, because thats the type of job where u have to be a hard faced wanker to survive doing it...nurses and doctors are on a totally different level, they deal with people who have been hurt etc, and tend to be more caring....bouncers dont care if they have ruined your night by throwing you out, becaise its not their job to make sure you are happy and have a good night, its to make sure that everything in the club is in order, and if that means they throw a few people out who have done nothing wrong then fair do's, they are being safe rather than sorry, same for police men, its their jobs to keep trouble of the streets, so they have to be tough and mean, or they'll have the piss taken out of them by radgies who are doing wrong!

They will be more friendly to girls, as girls generally get in less fights, are less likely to cause any bother and will be easy to deal with if they do. Please note I know this is a gross generalisation, and when girls do fight they tend to seriously kick off.

Also, girls are more likely to be friendly towards the door staff, because they don't see them as a threat to their masculinity! Gross generalisation again, but it goes some way to explaining why girls sometimes get more friendly treatment.

you have to sit exams (which cost going on £200) and do a course to be a bouncer these days. also u have to be working for a reputable firm e.g Phoenix security else u wont get hired (I think hiring a doorman without a badge is illegal)

    :)

They stated their policy on dress code, refused you entry.
They didn't then have to let you in.
You're complaining cos they let you in??

There may have been other reasons that they made you wait (visible effect of drink/drugs), given time and by you acting sensibly can sometimes change the mind of the doorstaff. (eg, proven you're not off your nut!)

"oh I know him" she said "he's my boyfriend"

Foundation has the least currupt doormen iv ever come across....... I worked in pubs for a decade and used to have to manage them at times... Foundation is doing something right.

Its very easy for doormen to run places using fear and violence. This dosnt happen in Foundation at all. Yeah some are pricks and seem to take up personal vendettas against people but in general they do their job well.
