It was shite (it was like Mixmag is now). It stopped because it wasnt selling enough. Bit like most dance mags.

M8 is the only one worth a read nowadays I reckon, Mixmag is gash apart from the odd decent CD!

Ministry went tits up I think around the same time they stopped using 'proper' DJS on the Ministry annuals and started using computer mixing robots...hmmm...

Also just after I applied for listing editors job and did't get it.

    I smell conspiracy

    ;)

they are all pikey trash, m8 is virtually written by schuh or whichever jock company decideds to sponsor the centrefold that month... ministry was especially dire though.. the only thing that saves mixmag is the occasional decent cd...

yeah i liked ministry, i know most people who go on the board wont like it, its just that it was geared towards the masses who like dance music rather than the dj types and dare i say it, musical snobs. it was an acceptable substitute for fhm (re humour etc) for me as women get looked at like hairy armpitted lesbos buying lads mags.

quite a good read it was, interesting articles etc, was reading the copy of m8 that richard is in and i was well disapointed by the lack of good content. the only interesting thing (if you are like me and dont know your arse from your elbow when it comes to tune names) in it was the pin up and tulip article. total gap in the market as far as i can see.

    Let's do it Lucy!

let's start a girls dance mag!

We can start with a Hed Kandi Spring Special and..and some kittens and stuff..and some fit DJs with nothing but their slipmats..

    hmmm..fit DJS...any ideas?

    hmmmmmmmmmmmm........

not too sure about that like i say i take no interest in that kinda thing, im sure you could take care of that jane?? ;)

i was thinking about the much loved "what ket does to you" articles and such classics as "how to survive anything" articles, hours of amusement.

then the mongo hotline and some fun stuff on the back "just be careful not to step on the zebras josephine"

free cd's - mixed by real dj's with funky cd titles.

interviews with up and coming DJ's, all the new releases, coverage of far away places, night reviews, venues etc

free entry tickets to places, tokens for free drinks etc

    would be fucking mint!!!:D

did I mention naked fit men?

perhaps they could just like music rather than DJ, widen our range a little.
