I'm all up for the idea of having a suite with members dj-ing. Just through one message on the board I remember there were loads of us that mix and what better incentive to keep it up would there be than to maybe play at Promise!!

I'm sure everyone would love to play and I personally would love the idea of being a part of Promise night. I think the competition to play would be fairly high and not becauses anyones getting paid, just for the chance to play out in such a mint venue and crowd.

Maybe not a members room, but the second room could be used for a members competition occasionally? The winner could then play a set there on a normal night! Would give local talent a chance to play to too without having to risk booking them for a proper set!

would be mad to have a mental chill out room with percussionists and the like - get pav in as weekly resident and others playin harmonicas and violins and stuff.

    Well, Judge Joe?
  13. Guest

    how about

    maybe mark GEEZER. ha
U could get people to send u tapes into promise and select two three people a week to play on that night ull get a massive range of music and also the people that play will be watched by all there mates then all there mates££

Since the music range will be vast it will be easy to have one week trance then the next drum n bass then garge and also the range attracts more people to the diffent styles£££. The only problem i c is advertising which tapes on which week heres a little example for a flyer!!

    MAY.... Teisto- main room
    bob, spot, dick-Acid trance room
    MAY..... Corvid dalek-main room
    Harry, Carry,Larry-Hard house room
    MAY..... Darude-Main Room
    andy,pany,teddy-Drum n bass room

C what i mean and get the people to send the tapes in one two or even three months before that specific month.

    There my idea TA

Judge Joe... that makes me sound all powerfull and wankerish :D

I just don't understand students, they all skateboard... why?!??!?!? they spend 3 hours falling off rails and skidding along their arses, wheres the pleasure in that? When they're not skating they're watching hollyoaks... if ur going to waste your life away watching TV at least chose some quality show like Eastenders!

Students are just well erm scum! :p

    lol@cyberdog

come on matey give them a chance, they've even joked about the fact they were arses.... I personally don't htink a retro night would suit promise, it attracts an older crowd, just go to retro at tall trees to see... promise attracts a varied crowd of people out for a good time... not restricted to older people moaning about how good it used to be (simon e would probably love this though ;) :p)

    larry levan pah!
