    wedding...

ok, so most of you are from the north east?

you must have been to a few weddings in your time collectively?

just am lookin for somewhere to get married on 17.06.06, and am not having much luck finding nice places.

we both dont believe in ang magical biblical being, who created the whole world and ecosystem in 6days and then had a nap, so its going to be a civil ceremony.

Lots of places do them, like halls and castles and that, but was wondering if you lot had any ideas? Phoned longhirst hall  matfen hall is lush but , linden hall is like $50 per fucking head   - soup proper dinner and a bloody profiterole CANT cost that much!!

so has anyone been to a nice wedding or got anywhere to try? im so stuck now :(

Lumley Castle, though probably a bit expensive. The same with Langley Castle.

Lumley Castle is an unbeatable venue for functions, in my opinion - will be reasonably pricey tho. Try The Ship in Belford, too - had the best reception ever there once :) Cheap, incredible service and food. Two thumbs up.

I think my auntie got married at Lumley Castle. If it was there, it's a well nice place. If it wasn't, I haven't a fucking clue where it was, but I'll find out for ya...

    Bamburgh castle.

Its about a £1000 for the hall for the service, but all the added extras soon mount up cot wise...

The hotel accomodation in Bamburgh is good but not cheap and there’s not loads of it.

Plus the castle only does wedding at either 11 am or 5 pm.

    But its a FANTASTIC venue.......
