Sure, i see where your coming from, Matts style is up to him at the end of the day though
He chooses to play what he does, and he does it well, nobody can fault him for that

You can't please all the people all the time ;)

ykts! van dyk played some quality electro stuff during his set last weekend, sounded well phat on heavenbs system, dropped in murder was bass too layering it up with a different tune over top, i think techno and breaks cant work really well in a set and can create and interesting leg of the "journey" of the set

see if a big name dj does that its part of the "journey" but if any dj who people dont know do it then people whinge they are just playing a random breaks or techno tune that doesnt even fit

I have thought the line ups are very repetitive over the last few months.
Im not saying i dont enjoy the music, Matt hardwick for me is one of the best djs going but i can see how people will eventually start getting very board soon if the line ups dont start getting a little more varity about them.

I have supported and been to promise since it started and met a lot of very nice people and gained some very good friends.. However it may be just me getting old !!!!!!!! BUT i have not found myself saying "Fucking hell i need to get to this"" in a long long time.....

There are so many good djs out there who desurve and could do a lot for the industry but they will never get there break cause to many muppets are hung up on """GETTING BIG NAMES ON !!!!, Fair enough it may fill the place short term but in the long run as i said previously The clubbers will start getting fed up...

I love going to promise but just hope there is a little more varity next year.

Why would he play techno or breaks?

He played some good prog from what I remember.
