    Cream Classics

Real proud to see K Klass featured on both of the recent Cream Classics CD's over the past couple of months. I have them booked for my night next thursday and the advertising is all helping - its just a shame that many clubbers in newcastle do not recognise K Klass as they are not associated with Hed Kandi or Defected records! !

Oh for sure they do, With this in mind why do some people know so little about them. When i first started going out I would go and see K Klass all the time - Buying their record's and bootlegs or their classic piano lines.
Its always seems to be the older generation who acknowledge that K KLASS are coming to newcastle. I just hope that i am eduating the newcastle crowd that they might have 'gone away' but they are by no means 'forgotten'!!!

The night is gonna be something special

    - K Klass feat Rosie Gaines - Dance With Me (DJ Spen Mix)
    - K Klass - Talk to me (from 2001 i believe)
    - K Klass - Let me show you (Absolute classic)
    - Recently Remixing Shakedown, Kathy Brown, Narcotic thrust, I Luv you baby by the originals, There recent My my my bootleg,
They also produce under the Phamacy Allstars - my favourite track being 'Closer'

The list goes on and on, in fact the list is here:

I know what you are trying to say about the younger crowd, I mean what the young crowd hear a K Klass track - I can almost gurantee they ll have heard it before, its just they wont be able to put a name to it.

Yeah thats right - I wasnt in Newcastle when they played shindig but that history is all good.
They played down in brighton (Zap Club birthday) last night with support from Shapeshifters - I also hear that their new production outfit is called 'We Deliver' so check that out.

I'm excited about the night, the vibes have been all good and the lineup is great. Bring it on!

Its just that they arent on any Hed Kandi albums nor do they play at Hed Kandi events. Its such a powerful brand up here and a lot of folk will go to a night if they recognise a name from a hed kandi CD. No doubt the sets will be hed kandi style, but then that branding 'house' in corporate terms - not something i agree with

Why should house music be branded under "hed kandi", my sets dont come under that brand - nor will i be promoting nights that are simply Hed Kandi at a different venue, it stands to reason

    I wouldn't say that.

I'd say it's more that people in Newcastle do recognise K-Klass, but don't really care, because they're shit, and haven't done anything since I was in junior school

    Daly, you like Hed Kandi.

You even played that Danny Krivit tune that's coming out on Defected at Tokyo the other week. What's it called, 'Strings Of Life'? You didn't even play the proper mix though, it didn't even have the vocal...

To be honest, I have been reading your posts this last week and it's all just shameless promotion, you don't have anything to say other than 'my night with k-klass' and in doing this you seem to be rubbing a lot of people up the wrong way

I wish you all the best, but it's not exactly a killer line up, or even anything different or exciting (IMO). Newcastle is a fickle place and in order to survive you have to capture people's imaginations or have serious money to play with and mess with the big guns.....
