Will vote no because it will cost the North East more £ & i doubt very much we'll see any good from it!

all voting for devolution (giving power to local councils) means (in my eyes) more council tax, more beurocracy (sp) and not even any REAL powers over the North East such as education, local bin collection, litter, the recycling and others. only have power to decide, then it has to be okayed by parliment. knobs.

guess what i voted. the knobs.

Hey nobody sent my ballot papers down south for me to vote  :D

Im all for democracy but self determination to the point where anyone who says 'why aye' as opposed to 'yes' means theres a reason for a regional assembly??? I dont think so.

Local councils collect and set council taxes and spend them on local services like schools, police etc ... what more do regional assemblies want?

If anything, people should take a more active role in the politics of their country, as opposed to armchairing it in increasingly lazy forms .... and if anything, its just perpetuating a whole 'them and us' attitude which i would have thought would be the last thing we need in todays world political climate.

I did, but not changing just means things stay the way they have always been, so its no big shakes not changing.
