according to the sunday sun the lad who was killed got charged for an arson attack few year back that killed 4 people. sounds like it could be planned then, a revenge killing

2 wrongs defo dont make a right tho, if people now want revenge for this it could go on and on :(

looks more like this wasnt just a random attack, which i guess makes me at least feel a bit better, i kno id feel more scared of it happening to me if that lad was a complete random like i could be, but when its like a pre-meditated attack for revenge purposes you just make sure you dont give anyone the reason, ]

i duno am i being selfish only thinkin about myself here? or is sum1 who starts a fire and kills 4 people deserving of getting their come-uppance?

It's never pleasant to see anyone getting knifed to death, revenge killing or not. Anyone remember the days when you could have a disagreement/fist fight with some1, without using weapons, take the victiory/beating and just move on and be a wiser person for it without need for revenge?

Christ now there are more reports of drive-bys and the like. The world is a bit of shit place but tighter policing just encourages the cracks to get bigger.

I weep my child having grow up knowing the shit he'll face.

    Sad. :(

It was the chef where I work's cousin who got murdered. Im really good friends with the guy from work and trying to help him deal with it is really really hard - it's so difficult to try and move on when you know the death wasnt from natural causes.

It's such a horrible thing to have happened. RIP.

    :( :(

It really isnt the same though if the guy who was killed, killed four people in an arson attack.

It's not just like a bit of fisticuffs where everyone involved walks away with a few scratches.

I do feel sorry for the guys family but I find it hard to feel any sympathy for him given the circumstances, if this is true of course.

Still a shame though, doesn't reflect very well on Newcastle.

Snack is right about being hard to move on.....i'm sure the families of the arson victims have not done so either.

Obviously I don't condone such action, and without knowing the full circumstances of the arson, can't really make a solid judgement.

If it was intentional, then i agree with Dave.

Wasn't it you, chris, who had the quote, "An eye for an eye, and everyone goes blind" ?

You told me that quote. And you got it off Ghandi  And the reason you told me was because of my Pro-Death Penalty opinion

Spose it depends on the circumstances. I'm not saying by any means that it was necessarily deserved. But, much more so than an innocent punter.

As I say though, it's still a sad thing.

(BTW, where was the source for the Arson? I havn't seen anything official about that so like I say I am giving this a general view of what i think would be the case IF the arson claim was true)

I never claimed to invent the quote - it is a famous and profound statement, it would get instantly recognised as being by Ghandi even if I did.

At least I can spell it though ("aye for an aye", as I remember you had? ) :D

I spelled it like that in an MSN window, when I usually employ phonetic spelling for diversity, eg "sed" for said. I expected you to take my meaning...you didnt, and I had to point it out to you.

The error lies with you :/
