    Decent clubs in York/Leeds?

Going off to York Uni in a few weeks, and just wondering if anyone knows of any decent clubs around the area - i'm not expecting too much from York, but Leeds must have some good clubs surely.
I see Matt Hardwick's going to Stylus in Leeds soon, but there doesn't seem to be any regular Trance nights as far as I can see.
Any inspirational wisdom? Or am I gonna have to diversify into going to house, breaks and dnb nights, or, heaven forbid it, start liking rnb:eek::spangled:

Leeds is a bit ropey for trance. Jules and Hardwick are at the uni on 27th Sep (Mon:( ) and occassionally Housework at Mission has some good djs. Hardwick's playing in October, I think. Otherwise, Housework is mostly HH.

Goodgreef is supposed to be moving to the Warehouse shortly, but not sure when

Check the listings section of the Goodgreef board for nights in Leeds/Manc etc. You might find something there.

I dunno of any myself tho.

Didn't like it in Wakey at the Foundation. There was no atmosphere and it was a long straight open club with nowhere to hide ;) . Just felt all wrong.

There's no decent clubs in York tho I think there is a hard house/ trance night at orgasmic cafe on coney street near the city screen once a month. Leeds is crap for Trance night. The good news is that sheffield is only £10 on the train and has Ahead, which is meant to be really good, once a month, and Gatecrasher once in a blue moon. What yoou studying at York?

Cheers for the replies. If I can get a Trance/HH nite in York once a month then that's more than I expected...will prob still come back up to Promise if there's a good lineup on. Plus as u say, there's Sheffield, and I suppose Manchester's not too far.
I'm studying Music btw, not of the clubbing variety unfortunately, but should still be class.

Still...York is only an hour away from Newcastle. Get yourself a Student Railcard thingy and it'll be cheap as chips to come up here now and then.

Just find somewhere to crash for the night and get the train back in the morning...or sleep outside Central Station
