    My doctors isn't too bad..

If I ring up I can get an appointment for the same day or the next day.. except 5:30-6 is reserved for people who become pretty seriously ill during the day to get an emergency appointment.. which is a pain in the arse 'cause that's the only time I could go after work without having time off.

It's the same at my doctors, they have an evening surgery from 4.30 - 6.30 for people who are working though so you have that option. TBH when i go to the docs its normally a decision on the night before and i dont like hanging around so i think on day appointments are good for that. Although at my surgery its a different doctor who does the on day appointments each day so you never know who you are going to see if you go down that route and some of them are wankers.

how about you all pay twice as much tax so the NHS can get sorted out....thought not!

count yourselves lucky that you have access to a doctors at all!I know it isn't the best but it's better than a lot

they are hardly going to keep every afternoon free 'just incase' some people fancy turning up to be seen are they!

That's because they're checking everything else is in working order too.
Plus, a lot of medical problems start somewhere else in the body.

A lot of people have your attitude (I sometimes feel the same when I see one of the incompetent doctors at my practice), but they do still know more than you. That's why I don't like general practice though, they know a little about everything and not enough about anything...

My point exactly. It's quite often people get referred for suspected cancer, and it turns out to be nothing. Or even worse, GPs tell people there's nothingwrong, and it turns out to be something very serious...

That doesn't help either. After all, it's only suspected, and for the majority of petients, it turns out not to be, but it does make people shit themselves, especially when they have to wait up to two weeks for an appointment...

Mine's not too bad, but you can't make same day appointments, you have to make one up to four days after you need to go, there's an emergency surgery but you have to be there for 10 and you oculd be waiting upto 3 hrs :wtf: I got an emergency hospital appointment in AUGUST for NOVEMBER for a cancer check how wanky is that, i'm going to have to wait 3 months to find out if i'm ill or not. It's disgusting.

This is why I only ever see British/American doctors. Not a racial thing, doctors from outside the British Isles may be far more qualified, but more often than not, you can't understand a fucking word they say...
