Long Shifts!

Just got in from doing a 15.5 hours shift. 8.30am-12am. I don't feel tired, and haven't yawned yet, but when I have been posting on here I have made loads of stupid mistakes, it's so weird.

Anyone else do crazy long shifts?

Fucking hell 15.5 hours!?! I thought that was illegal!

Most ive done is a 12 hour nightshift 7pm til 7am safe to say I was well done in after that it took me about 3 days to get my bodyclock sorted.

ive done a 24hr shift before because my manager was really short staffed and begged me 2 stay on after my 9hr shift was over. When i'd finished I slept 4 a whole 24hrs, n felt like crap 4 a week!! I regulary do 12hr shifts now, its not good

i done a month of 12hrs shifts when i work'd on the oil rigs! loved it though got used to it! those were the days!

you're an hr & a qtr ahead of me in the shift stakes... how many breaks do u have thru out the day?

Is that at me? I had 4 breaks, totaling 1 hour 20!

I think it is, but my boss is above the law!

Right back I'm going back to work, can't be late now!

Bah 15.5 hours , tart , i used to work 12 hour shifts as standard , sometimes leading to 16 hours if need be , used to work the 2-10 then stay back to 6am !!!

then we went on continentals which was 7am-7pm for 2 days then 7pm til 7am for 2 days followed by 4 days off , did that for about 4-5 years !!!


All thats behind my now like since starting my new job , choice of 8 til 4 or 9 til 5 !!! No weekends either , WINNER !!!

when i worked at a hotel i did a 19 hour shift, 7am - 2am

when i worked in a bar i did something similar to that... i've also done a 15 + hr shift qwithout sitting down at all cos there was no where to sit when havong a break...had to stand the whole day...i thought my feet were going to fall off!

i once worked a 12 hour shift but thats it, im a lazy bastard gimme 7 hour shifts anyday (actually fuck it gimme a day off )

I have worked 9am - 8pm for two weeks and this week im working 9am - 7pm, i worked the weekends just gone 8am - 4pm too which i think is the longest shifts i have done since being here !

longest was a 40 hour shift, as Hospitality Manager at Aston's May Ball. Coffee, Beer, Pro Plus, Smarties and chasing Saffron from Republica made it possible

Mines outstanding now, best its ever been

If working late thru the week when i do fuck all has to be done then so be it cos it gets me days off

That's why I walk about a lot, looking like I'm doing something important... I'm really going off to the bogs to put another rinse in.
