    Taken from Amazon:
"A response to the ill-conceived News of the World witch-hunt, in the wake of the Sarah Payne affair, the 2001 "paedophilia" special was the most supremely controversial of the series. It followed the usual formula--duping celebs such as Phil Collins into endorsing a campaign entitled "Nonce Sense", urging parents to send their children to football stadiums for the night for their own safety and mooting the possibility of "roboplegic" paedophiles--and prompted the sort of hysterical and predictable Pavlovian response from the media that Brass Eye lampoons so tellingly."

I myself have yet to see this episode in full, seeing only numerous clips on many news programmes after its showing. Judging from what i've seen, the show in no way condones or defends paedophilia, so why the hype? When I get round to watching it, I know I'll be watching something that's having a go at the media, a program written by a comedian. If I don't like it, or don't agree with it, all I need to do is switch off.

that was the problem though, most people didnt get it and didnt relise it was talking the piss out of the media at the time, thats why there was all the fuss

It just goes to show how powerful and manipulative the media is. We all know paedophilia is very wrong, but there's no need for the media to make a song and dance about it to tell us.
