The Pm Attacked In House Of Commons

The House of Commons has been suspended during Prime Minister's question time after what appeared to be purple powder was thrown at Tony Blair.
Mr Blair was speaking at the Despatch Box during his weekly half-hour appearance in the chamber when what appeared to be something like a balloon filled with purple powder hit him on his back.

Commons Speaker Michael Martin immediately interupted the proceedings, saying: "This House is now suspended."

The incident comes just weeks after a £600,000 security screen was installed in the Commons

I was watching it, was pretty mad Blair and Howard having their normal banter taking the piss out of each other instead of discussing what they should be then something hits Blair looked like a purple powder or something, cameras went off almost straightaway. Dont think its chemicals or owt but imagine if it was.

No, just saw the story on BBC.

MI5 should have shot the person who chucked the powder just to cover themselves.

the person responsible for signing in the men - believed to be Labour peer Baroness Lynn Golding - had until the end of the day to explain the incident.

Do you think it really happened or is it a conspiracy theory?
Was Tony Blair wearing air max trainers?
Did the times on the cameras match?

Most of the people who start the conspiracy theories are not logged on.

 Didn't see hundreds of MP's getting cordoned off by police outside & stripped naked then decontaminated in blow up tents. (Not that u'd want to, eugggh imagine John Prescot  *shudders*)

R the rules different for mp's eh? If that had happened in an office or a shopping centre all involved woulda been stripped naked, hosed down then washed then sent home in a paper suit.

The ultimate hulmiliation, or maybe thats what they did it for?

I tell ya, i bet there were a Q of firefighters ready to "decontaminate" Blair
