The most horrible thing I've ever experienced..

I've just got back from the hospital.. had to go thrpugh somethin horrible..

Basically somehow on Thursday I managed to get a dry flake of rusty paint lodged in my eyeball.. I din't feel it at first but then I looked in the mirror and was like "what the fuck is that??"

Went to A&E about 9.30pm last night and was there till 3am!!!
Got some drops in my eye to numb it.. stabbed in the eye with a cotton bud and then had 3 litres of sterrilised water pumped into my eye socket :(

I then got told that there was still a piece "embedded" in my eye (Right next to my Iris) and that I'd have to be reffered to the Eye Infirmery in sunderland..

I went there at 11.45am this morning and waited till 2.45 to be seen.. once again stabbed in the eye with a cotton bud and ph sticks of paper shoved in my eye to meassure ph levels (not nice!)

Upon lookin at my eye the doctor dude informs me that he will have to "dig it out"   So I get more drops in my eye and then he pulls out a needle! (By this time I was shittin myself!)

TBH the cotton buds in the eye were worse but the anticipation of havin a needle scratch me in the eye was unbelieveable.

Anyone else had this done? Nearly though I wouldn't make it to promise..

Ive had the same thing happen, its absolutly horrible when they have to pump the water stuff in your eyes, its near impossible to keep them open and your left gasping for breath..horrible horrible experience, never want it to happen again, not a third time anyway.

Now i walk around with my eyes shut.

Yeah the water stuff was horrible..
They checked the PH after every litre.. which hurt like hell!
Got the first litre in there at about 11.30.. they said wait 10 mins while "I consut the doc".. came back at 12.15.. said I had to go through it again.. but this time they had to "invert my eyelid"
And so on it went till about 2.30..

The needle dude gave me a funny look when I asked.. "Now thats out.. can I go clubbin 2night??" :D

    i've had my eyes lasered...

they have to cut a 'flap' out of the surface of the eye before they do it, it didn't really hurt, but was v uncomfortable cos it had to put loads of pressure on my eye to do it, an the anasthetic hadn't worked properly on 1 eye so i could feel it cutting :(

an then the smell of burnt hair :)spangled: ) when its being done...

not nice, but worth it in the end :D

I suffered a brain haemorrage about 10 years ago. Part of my treatment was to have a frame bolted to my skull in 4 places under local anaesthetic. The local numbed the skin so I couldn't feel the bolts splitting the skin but when they started ratcheting the bolts into the bone the pressure was agonising. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
I don't think it'll catch on as a fashion trend.
    Cianti anyone? ffs ffs ffss.
