    DVLA are wankmonkeys

Found out today that Im getting my driving licence taken off me because I took sum sort of fit last October! Bit harsh me thinks. Especially when Im on medication to control the problem. I can appeal and if that fails, I have to wait a year from the date of my last 'episode' (October) until I can try to apply again.

I wudn't mind if I hadn't got it under control but I have and I've had it for all the six years I've been driving so far. I fail to see what's changed.

I'm very gutted to say the least. :(

My mate had a single fit last year, 10weeks after passing his test, hes due to get his licence back in about 5weeks time after a year. Hes had numerious medicals etc but the DVLA have been pretty useless, hes right into his cars so he was pretty gutted at losing his licence.

I saw a very good mate of mine have his first fit, was pretty weird to see, not scary, just weird... Thing is, he wont go to the doctors about it, as he ll get his licience taken off him for a year... I can sort of see his point, but then what if he has a fit whilst hes driving::( I think i d go and get it checked out, not driving for one year is a small price to pay for your life i think.

tbh I dunno what I would do...it would be a hard choice. I know the right one is the doc's etc but losing your licence would be hard.

our kid is on massivley high dosage tablets to keep his epilepsy under control, he's been told he'll never be able to drive. it'll be a struggle losing your car after such a long time - but you'll get it back.

    True, true. :p

The thing is , going from their definition of a 'fit', I have never had one. That's what annoys me.

You're right tho, at least I'll get it back later this year. :)

I'm fucking glad they took it off you

You had a fit the other day at tall trees! Your medication isn't 100% reliable :p

If a blind person came on complaining the dvla were "wnakmonkeys" he'd get laughed at :D

I had to que for an hour and a half at their offices in Gosforth to get a tax disc on Friday. If they had pulled their finger out down in Swansea and sent up the updated V5, I wouldn't have had this trouble. Tossers:evil:
