"Let me absolutely clear: Beverley Hughes is not going, she's not resigning, she's not going to be sacked "

    asking questions????
it was inevitiable she would go after the last few days i thought, it's the second period in the last month where immigration procedures (and her) have been given really bad press...

what are people's views on the immigration issue after this week headlines involving the eastern europeans??

has it confirmed your view that britain is a soft touch, that will let in anyone even someone like that polish sex attacker???

or is this a one-off and procedures have been tightened up since then... or did the government try to reduce the backlog of applications by skipping checks on some of the applicants, for the purposes of statistics??

Gotta love labours policy when it comes to doing a shit job.... just take one "fall guy" ... push them to the point of resigning or stepping down and 9 times out of 10 the public forget all about it.

Ive lost count of the number of re-shuffles and "step downs" these days... only gordon brown and mr bleurgh are the ones in the jobs they started in.

    lame.
