Re: Rob... I was but........ It's forcast to snow in most of yorkshire and I'm just not bothered enough to risk getting stuck. I know two other people who where planning the same-ish trip and both have decided it's not wise. Sorry to disapoint, I hope you all have a great time.

No, that's if I'm going to Manc/Liverpool, I would not try to drive over there unless I had a serious 4x4. It's only up the M1/A1 but it's just not worth the risk of sleeping in my car. Typical that the weather is shit on the first night I've wanted to come up in months. I wish Mark did Promise in Sheffield.
Stay as far away from the northern extremes as you can - its like the bloody arctic up here right now! I cant wait to get back into the mediterrainian warm weather south of the tyne asap! Public transport and taxi's were a shambles last night.
