really didnt enjoy mauro 2 much. thought his set was boring, although he did play the occasional wicked tune...

last time mauro was on i thought he was class, but didint really get into it this time..thought the last hour was painful b4 hardwick..

i know mauro is pretty popular but b4 me promise is a trance club..why change it?

right where they hung that monkey!!!
I've seen him a few times b4 and some times ive totally loved his set, and others I've not. I think that on Friday corvin played a mint set, and totally got the crowd going, really built the night up, and then when picoto came on what he played and the way he played it didnt really fit in after covin, just brought things back down. but we just used this time to cool off, stand with some friends and had a laugh, didnt make me enjoy the night any less!

i don't really agree that promise is a trance club. i always thought the music policy was prog/trance/hardtrance/techno (and funky upstairs). quite a varied music policy really but it works (well for me it does).

isn't that what makes the club so unique?

i'd probably class corvin as wet n' hard but id say for most weeks ive been going to promise over the past 2 years it has been prog and trance...

in my opinion trance works best for me and seems to get the best reaction from everyone i talk 2..

A question, did Mauro play 'Awesome' in his set or did I imagine that?

As ive said before on a few other threads, im one of the lone few it seems who thought Picotto played a wikkid set. Maybe not quite at his best but still blows away what most other djs can do. I was however a bit fukked and dont remember it that clearly. I do remember enjoying it though and dancing away upstairs and also at the front of our meet-up corner. Couldnt get on the dancefloor though without feeling squashed.

That was deffo the highlight of my night though. Id made it on to the dance floor by then but i had no energy left and was pretty much dancing in slow motion lagging way behind the music. But that tune picked me up big style and i was away. :D

I thought that corvin did an excelent set of warming the crowd up. Mauro was as much as i expected really, it wasnt too good but i was not bad. He just kept it goin really and then matt played excellent again, well done!
All in all, a fuckin wkd nite, cheers promise! :D
