handbrake Turns trance_fan and I have just been out for a cracking session of handbrake turns ( on private land, of course ) VW golf mark 4 handles really nicely on the snow, pretty neutral, the arse end will come out nps with the handbrake, which doesnt fade as far as I can tell, and the TDi engine has the torque to bring the front end back into line in any gear. Got a huge 180 at about 50 MPH , took aaaaaages to stop, was somewhat worried to say the least but the tyres are fine. Anyone else been getting sideways today or yesterday?
Re: handbrake Turns cant do handbrakes in mine it locks all 4 wheels not recomended dont listen to the people who have no intrest in cars, they would probably rather kick a football around in the snow managed to put mine sideways at 90mph in the wet (not snow) and hold it for a while round a left hander theres an air strip sumwhere slightly up north (cant rember the name) the police cant "police" it as its owned by the MOD or sumthing, your not supposed to go on the main runway as it still gets used (didnt stop us mind) the outside roads are free to use, although your insurance isnt valid if you spank it into a plane or sumthing, i destroyed 3 alloys and a tyre last time i was there
I was spinning bobby today.. not bad.. neighbours called police and some men parked in the car park trying to make themselves look as if they were waiting for somone like they did to a drug dealer living at the flats ages ago so i went out and cleaned the car for half an hour.. they got bored of watching me and left. What a mint day.
Re: Re: handbrake Turns From the man that plastered the web with pics of himself with a bananna in his mouth and the caped crusaders mask on.
nowt wrong with handbrake turns like, good laugh, dosnt do any1 any harm!! better than sitting in the house on the internet That airfield, I assume you mean Tughall (ithink thats how its spelt!) farm, up towards Beadnell, its mint for boshing round like, recently been resurfaced...so no more losing alloy wheels up on an industrial estate the other day....which was mint, dead wide roads :angel2: PS - any1 with a Ford KA can really show up the charves, very easy to control in the snow, get the back end right out...try not to hit any kerbs/METAL FENCES though....that would be a bit of a bitch.
Was like the RAC rally on the way to work this morning, my car is 4wheel drive but u can still have fun, powerslides in the school car park
Try handbraking in a knacked old maestro! Those really fly round as they have no grip in the first place. 540 no problem. Stopping afterwards is tho.
