two GLASTONBURY tickets wanted two glastonbury tickets desperately wanted for two lovely people!!! please contact if you can help
Glastonbury isn't the big daddy of all festivals. If you want to go to the biggest rave in the world, ever, go to the Berlin Love Parade this year. Over a million people (more than twice the size of Woodstock, and about 15 times the size of Glastonbury, and it's all dance music, wheras hardly any of glastonbury is). Think about it. There's always about a week of pre and after-parties. This IS the biggie, and Berlin has a reputation for a mad underground techno scene! I have been saving up for MONTHS, and I'm happy to say I'm off to Berlin this summer If you get a cheap flight with Buzz Airlines from Stansted, it's £35 to go in early July (the rave is the 13th) and £45 back. If you get a midweek flight, you can get to Stansted with Go airlines for £15 there and 15 back. Hostels in Berlin are as cheap as £5 a night, and let's face it, how much sleeping would you plan to do (as you can probably see I'm budgetting this totally ). I can't go to SSS due to exams But I might, at a struggle, make GKGG if I have anything left over from Berlin. Does Glastonbury even have a dance tent this year, and if so, who's playing?
yeah fair enough....i hadn't thought of that. but it's probably the maddest big festival in the uk. and i kno there aint a massive amount of dance but its the atmosphere that u just dont get at the commercial ones. i was dissapointed with GCSSS last year, so much so i aint going this. i'm gonna try and check out GKGG as it has the sundiss tent. btw, is this the kalashnikov i know? as in dolukhanov?
dolukhanov? Sorry you've lost me there mate. I'm not trying to do down Glastonbury, but from the sound of things you're looking for a big **** off party, just like me. The Love Parade isn't commercial by any definition of the word. Glastonbury is. The Berlin Love Parade does not charge entrance, and does not make direct profit from the event. Glastonbury and all the other raves do. Also, the Love Parade will have a lot of hardcore techno ravers from all around Europe and the world. Paul van Dyk and other trance DJ's feature there, but most of it will be techno, like Mauro Picotto's set on Friday. Sadly it's only 12 hours long, but with a million people, I've heard there are tons of parties everywhere. Also, Berlin licensing laws are pretty much non existent, so regular club nights will be full of German techno and trance till all hours, which is better than sitting in some fields in Glastonbury. The official site has an english page, but as soon as you click a link it goes back to German. If you want to know more about Berlin LP, go to www.loveparade.tk which is in english and lots of pictures and some short movies to download of last year's event. Glastonbury is expensive as hell, espescially buying tickets this late. All 3 days costs over £100 I think. You could probably go to the Berlin Love Parade for even cheaper than Glastonbury if you're prepared to budget (it costs over £200 with British Airways, but about £80 return with Buzz Airlines, and cheap hostels are as cheap as a fiver a night), plus it's all dance music, has a week of pre and after parties, it's a chance to explore a new country/city, and it's much bigger. That really long road you see in the first picture, is the same length on the other side of the city. It's miles long. Apparently Hitler made it so long and wide so that if his military runways were bombed, it would provide a useful landing strip. I think they found a better use for it though I would seriously consider it if you're looking for something big and GCSSS dissapointed you.
I might be going to glastonbury! Finally! After having wanted to go for about three years! Yay! Plus Ill be going for free! Just cos Im special
