Emperors new clothes eh - Granted the catwalk sets the foundation for what people wear 12-24 months down the line - but its just entertainment for rich people.

A dress like that anywhere other than among the rich and famous is more art than accessible fashion.

    ;)

???? thats from a ready to wear collection...

You could wear that dress anywhere, will just look like a nice dress unless under UV lighting...

And it would be very suited to any club now :D

think the last dress may be a laser projection though.

Catwalk clothes are very wearable, granted some of te over the top stuff like some galliano is only for the catwalk... But the majority of ready to wear collections do exactly what they say on the label.

It irritates me that topman goers dismiss fashion as being something only for the catwalk.

topman - lol, perhaps where you live but not from the sunny gales of the posh south ;)

I agree with you about how they are ready to wear, but for the majority of cases, a dress like that wouldnt work unless you were on a night out in mayfair or knightsbridge...

..... i just dont see it working in newcastle walking around pubs dodging pavement pizza's and jimmy 5 bellies lookalikes.

I do love catwalk fashion though - dont get me wrong.

I occasionally wear "catwalk fashion" about town and never get any funny looks, I often get complimented.

That dress would stand out @ a club like promise or gatecrasher.... but only in a good way.... cyber is far more ott.

    fair enough...

Actually are you sure thats UV sensitive stuff? The edges of the patterns seem to "bleed" a bit - looks like they are all projections.

Dunno... my coffee might not have kicked in yet. :spangled: :D

is it not just a case of having the balls to wear it????? in the case of these items they only go all pretty colours under uv light sop for walking round town would just look like normal gear .... besides you wanna stand out from the crowd and thjats what catwalk fashion does.
