Any type of rape is bad and should be met with harsh punishment ! This guy clearly has problems that should be dealt with and then he should be put away for a very long time .

A child depends on adults keeping them safe, he didn't do that. I dont see how you can treat it on the same level as raping a 25 year old, as sick as rape is at any age, you cross a different line.

Why? Surely ending his life now is the easy way out for him. Fair enuff, he might get a nice jail cell and everything but I'd much rather see him live throughout his punishment than kill him and offer him the easy way out.

deffinatly.. the tabbo with surrounds this issue are very high at present, i bet there are thousands of children/girls/women, who have actually been raped in britain alone, and dont come foward, in fear of being 'caught' again, or feeling dirty, or like they deserved it..... sumthing needs to be sorted out, a young lad , 13 i think he was, in the northeast (read it in the chronicle!) killed himself after admitting to close freinds he had been raped. They then, totall took the piss outta him, bullied him yo hits, with in the end made him commit sucide, blimey he had the rest of his life to live. its terrible.

That is so so so shit thats all i can describe it as. Its totally true about people feeling dirty and as if it was their own fault, some people dont admit it until months afterwards....no idea how it must feel, just dont understand how somebody can do that 2 some1.

and a child of about 6 would be more traumatised (i would imagine) than an adult, as they probs would not understand what is going on...

if he is mentally ill then he needs to be kept away from children, so why were they left in his care?

wouldn't he of been psychologically tested prior to the court case to see if he was fit to be tried? so i don't think he was medically classifiable as mentally ill...
