Views on sound at Sunny D tent GG03

    OK,

who thinks the sound in the Sunny D tent was absolutly terrible and almost impossible to dance to.
Ive attended many festivies for years and that to me was by far the worst sounding PA system ever!!

In my view the main problems were:-

1- The one second delay from the front speakers to the rear speakers. This ment even if a DJ played one tune or had only one deck it would still sound out of beat! Dont know about you but I didnt know what speaker to dance to.

2- Ive heard louder systems in a lift!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok thats my view, whats yours after paying £50 and traveling all that way.

(PS yes I did enjoy global but for me the main attraction was Sunny D tent. Im not so much asking about Global and more wanting to focus this thread only on the sound)

the best sound system was in the drum & bass tent...it was blasting out every where...it was the tent you could hear the clearest when sliding about too!!! they want to take a leaf out of their book for all the other tents next year!!!! :D

i thought every tent had issues *depending* on where you stood. if you put urself in the right place, the sound was fine.

dont mean to be rude in any way fella but were you perhaps at the same global as me or were your magic beans superb that night? :)

How can you enjoy tunes where the whole PA system is out of time with each other, thats when it all worked??

It wasn't even as loud as most clubs. IE can you stand right next to the speakers at promise and hold a conversation with your mate can you???? I did just this at the back whilst standing only 10ft away!

Please please dont think me as offensive, as you are more than entitled to your point of view.
I just cant understand how you thought it was "fine" fella.

I agree the tunes were mainly good but thats not realy the issue here.
Its more paying £50 without including travel and other necesities and having a better sound on my TV at home.
Im just not used to this at festiviles, (or even warehouse parties in '92.) Never mind GodsKitchen GG03/Sunny D

That was like the Tidy Arena at SSS last year. Some of the scariest sites I've seen in my life.

It's a festival, what makes you think youre going to get near perfect sound?

It's going to sound different (poor/better) in different areas, its a big tent.

Hardhouse has bass and a kick to it, that's best under a roof and 4 walls imo

Im sorry, I have no idea why I thought you wernt a girl. Forgive me:groovy:

Im so pleased you had a really good time. I did too apart from the sound.
You dont have to be educated in sound systems to know when the whole things out of time with each other or not working at all half the time (rear speakers) hun.

    TryHard*tidyShaun

Its no good comenting if you didnt go fella. Hope you didnt vote too.

You dont think Id be this pissed if the sound just wasnt "near perfect" do you mate. It was nothing short of utter bollox!!!

I was at the last years Summer Sound System, and Mainframe, And Global Gathering, and many the year before that too and never have I heard such a disgracefull sound, festiville or not!

I accept your point about the accoustics of a tent are far from ideal but only the expresion "total shite" comes near to describing GG03 Sunny D's sound!!!
We are talking about all festivile long too!!!!
Other festiviles dont have this problem to anywhere near this extent so your excuse of it being in a tent isnt a one GG03 can really use.
Especialy when the Drum and Bass tent rocked this year at GG03 which obviously is in the exact same enviroment under the exact same conditions.

If you were at last years GG in the Sunny D tent and thought that was bad, this wasnt even %25 as good as that!!!!!!!!!! I rest my case!!
