    attitude problems

Who thinks that mark maitland has 1 big attitude problem since he became resident at quality.
what do you think about his choice of music.
(i think its the most boring hard house ive heard apart from hostile class tune)

i think that YOSHI should be resident instead of mark becuase he has got a better attitude and much better tunes to finish a hard night with

PART OF A DJ IS TO BE LIKED THE CROWD AND HE IS OBVIOUSLY HE IS LACKING.

when he played with anne savage nobody said a good word about him in the club.

Letting it get to your head is never a good thing.

DJs need to respect the people who put them where they are today.

After all it's crowd popularity that gets a DJ somewhere, if the crowd doesn't like you, you won't get booked, simple as.

Thou to be fair i think liking and disliking someone for their attitute/style of music is too completly different matters.

I'm sure there's a few DJs who's attitutes stink, but i like their music anyway.

Or there is DJs whose style i don't like such as Scot Project, but he is one of the friendliest DJs i've spoken to, and will respect him for that.

As for hard house, isn't most of it boring repetitive same same rubbish! ;)

not jealous at all its just a question thats all??
we have never talked to him or know him so its from a neutral point of view! I have seen him on 3 ocasions and its just the feeling i get. first time was at O'brians in south shields on a wednesday night, as soon as he got in he got the big head thing on, he became verbally abusive to the people that came to see him and the other D.J's. the second time was in promise and i ended up sitting down after 20 mins, the third time was when he was playing after Anne Savage, and again i ended up leaving after 30 mins. on both ocasions at promise i can say that while being in the crowd there was not one good word to say about him.His music style is nothing out of the ordinary, he can mix no doubt but since hes joined quality he seems to get this im mr wonderful head on him. Also the third time i saw him i was shocked when he told a girl to f**k off and waved his arm at her in a mannor to which he was pushing her away from the dj stand, and all she was trying to do was get a photo! now in my book thats not crowd interaction. And as aprevious post said D.J's rely on the respect of the crowd to get them further up the ladder, but if no respect is given back then they become unliked and end up going nowhere. Now he might be young and it might just be him being a bit imature, but if he does not get this problem sorted out the i suggest a new career. It takes no time to be nice to people but he obviously thinks hes beyond that now!

pizzaboy what on earth are you on about?

Granted mark has a little attitude, who doesn't... But he is an extremely friendly bloke - I find it very hard to believe he'd tell someone to fuck off for trying to take hiis photo (unless he was in the middle of a very tough mix) more than likely he'd pose.... he's vainer than me.

    You sound jealous mate.

I can't comment on what you are discussing because I wasn't there. I do feel that maybe some of the people on this thread should notch up a few more posts before coming on here slagging off people.

Maybe if you guys try to involve yourselves in the board community a bit more before slating a resident then you would not come across as 'jealous'.

    Just a thought.

    I agree.

This could be classed as defamation anyway.

Just think before you post. :)

I seen him do that to that girl, when i pointed it out to my mate he said he knew Mark and that he thought he had got a attitute problem since becoming resident and so did a few others since that night.

I think its only right we voice our concerns after all this is the Promise/Qulaity Website and we pay there wages.
