Technofish now your talking fucking tripe... two sets?!?!?!? since when have promise had two sets?!?!?!?

When pappa plays this friday, he will be warming up for kitikonti, its standard clubbing jargon - if you have the 10 - 12 slot which gav had then your the warm up fukcing dj.... gav green is an unknown in promise -thats why he was given the early warm up slot and not the late banging slot.

Gav himself knew this - when I go to scandelous he plays hard trance, there was no sign of hard trance in his set it was uplifting bouncey prog through to trance... gav played a fucking warm up set! Why go on the defensive?

The point most people are raising is as neither dj's knew what the other played like, it was hard to compliment each others style... Richard churned out a really banging driving techno trancey set, gav played a really bouncey happy trancey set... which didn't suit richards set.

As other people have said maybe richard should of followed where gav left off, I personally couldn't get into richards set straight away, but when I got into richards set I thought it was fucking excellent... for me the two sets didn't flow.... This was the issue I have raised and most other people have raised.

Some are blaming gav for playing to hard too early, some are blaming richard for not following his set... I personally couldn't give a fuck as I had a great night dancing to both.

But technofish stop being a fucking retard - gav had the warm up slot... he's nto a super star dj!!!!

in general the dj who plays before the main dj 'warms up'...everyone knows this!

armin wont be warming up for halliwell though, cos armin is the main dj playin on sat nite and either eddie or matt will probs get the last set, whoever is on...at crasher tha main dj is hardly ever on last anyway...thought u would know that bein a crasher old timer;)

i wasnt complainin bout punk bein played early either...i was sayin how that was a good thing...i was complainin that richards set to start off with didnt flow with what had been previously played, thats all.

There is usually a certain amount of 'DJ etiquette' around who plays what and when. The headliner usually gets to play bigger tunes and a bit harder than whoever gets the early slot. Up and coming DJs have to be professional about it and understand that's how it works. DJs have to earn the later slot by impressing enough on the warm up, which can be very hard to do because they can't play the bigger and harder tunes.

Please note I'm not making any comment on Gav Green though as I wasn't there.

I think you are all forgetting that both of these guys were not scheduled to be on as long as they were on the night. They must have had to change their sets DRAMATICALLY to compensate for Signum and Azzido Da Bass not being there.

Might explain why we had a bit of trance early on eh?

And like i said before...Gav was relatively unknown...he HAD to show us what he can do to a dancefloor! He may never have gotten another chance (god forbid!)...put yourself in his shoes.

I would have done the same...played a BLINDER like he did!

    Well done my man!

    Nice point.

Gav didnt have enuff records for his "Early Set" only when he got there did Mark tell him he was on for another 30 mins........so all Gav could do was play what was left over in his box. He had no option.

And Smart one. Clam down and stop swearing!!! You might break a nail or something!
