Howdy peeps

Great game on wednesday.. was like going back to school and playing on the field with the goal posts made from coats! Seems everyone liked the game .. even if we were a bit unsure about what was going on!

Anyhow.. since i cant get a pitch at Soccerworld this week, what do you want to do?

Take a week break?
Play there again (transport permitting of course) ?
Find another place to play?

If you know of another place to play, put it up - of the weather is any bhetter next week an outdoor game is probably the best bet

I suggest finding somewhere else altho the pub we went to did sell cracking lager so it could be worth another trip!

My only suggestion for next week is to make me go home at a reasonable hour!

if we stop it'll fuck us. plus i missed last weeks

A break is a bad idea - we'll end up talking about it more than playing.

What about the pitches off the Coast Road - Peter Park or something. They look all right except for the odd horse kicking about and are easy to get there by bus or car.

I'll go anywhere but last week was easy due to lifts etc.... Won't be possible all the time.

True.. lifts arent gonna be avialable like they were last week.

I've just had a word with the University Recreation Centre, with runs the pitches up at Coach Lane/4 Lane Ends - they got an 11-a-side astroturf pitch available on Thursday at 7pm.. I could make it 7:30 if it'd be better for everyone

How about it? Price is £32 for an hour.. which when broken down between all players makes it very cheap.
But.. I need to know by TODAY, as i need to fill in a form and send a cheque.

I'm gonna put up a roll call thread to see who's playing.. the response this week is definitely lower.

Aye thats right.. from 4 Lane Ends metro, head up to the roundabout and turn left. Walk along to the next junction (3 min walk, theres a pub nearby) and turn right. The football courts are on the left hand side.

OK peeps it is booked and paid for.. usually we have to book a week in advance like at westgate, but this time around there was a cancellation.. so if it's a good game up there Thursday, I will book the same place again if you're all wanting regular 11-a-side.

We're booked for 7:30pm-8:30pm, which seems to be the better time for everyone.
