more gav green have seen him a few times before but was well impressed by him last nite, n a reckon the club wud do well to have him on again. crowd seemed to take well to him n all. well done Gav
which clubs does gav normally play in? must admit i had'nt heard of him until friday does he play around newcastle?
WHO THE FUCK IS GAV GREEN? The guy is totally rockin'!!! It was like he's just appeared from nowhere and tore the promise dancefloor apart! I have never seen the floor so full from so early on in the night!!! It was like a breath of fresh air to have good tunage all night and not to have to wait until about 1am for the good stuff...keep it up Gav and get him back PLEEEEASE Promise!!! By The Way anyone who says it was too hard for an early set....have a word with yourselves!!! Great set from Richard too....again!
all bow down to the player of ubik!!!! just for next time-coatnoise would have made the night complete!!
i know about how to build music up durin the night, but in my opinion waitin around till 1am, after bein in the club for 3 hours, to hear a tune that u like, is borin. ive heard richard tulip play many fantastic sets that have built the night up perfectly but sometimes, i think the build up to the last dj playin can be a bit borin and tedious. Sometimes we get 4 hours of prog/prog house/driving trance (what ever you wanna call it) which in my opinion is far too long to wait to hear the main dj, which alot of people come to promise for. Gav Green in my opinion built up his set perfect...the tunes he was playin at the start of his set were totally different to his last couple, and from what i could see the crowd were lovin every minute of it. the man was superb
Here Here sloppy! I agree! His tunes at the start were top drawer and the crowd were up for a change and all credit to Gav for sensing that! We needed summat a bit different when the advertised DJ's did not turn up...like i said b4...a breath of fresh air. I know what you mean about building up a set and in the main i agree with you but i also agree with sloppy in that sometimes it can be monotonous. Gav just did summat different and i was impressed....and judging by the reaction of the crowd...SO WERE THEY! Well done again Gav...hope to see you again soon.
well even though i wasnt there i was personally wondering how gav was going to show his true gavness by playing a standard *warm up* set im glad he shined through....a taste maybe of how brill he is as a main set dj?? gav...i hope u are still gonna be available for our own private use now that your a superstar
I think we should deffo get gav back but next time he's brought back not to be brought back as a stand in dj - btu as a warm up dj for a dj his style compliments like eddie halliwell... I felt richards and gavs set's were too different... just my thoughts
if anything then it was richard who played the wrong type of music as he should have followed gav up by playin a more trancey set than what he did play. not sayin what he played was bad though....just that as smart e says....it didn't flow with what gav had been previously playin. it kinda felt like we had two warm up sets almost with a few anthems at the end of each.
was the feeling got aswell, rich shouldve continued where gav left off.. and i do agree, waiting till 1am to hear something u enjoy isnt good, maybe if it was open till 6, but its only open till 3. just my tuppence worth
Fook off with all this "warm up" bollox where the fook does this term come from? 2 DJ's 2 sets THAT WAS IT! So when Armin plays at Crasher on Sat he'll be Warming up for Scalliwell will he?? er.......... NOPE!!!!!!! As for being "too hard"?? Half of you are "I love Chicken tonight, Chicken Tonight" Hard House loving Scalliwell worshipers.???? Whats the crack there??? You listen to that bosh tosh for 9 hours non stop but spit your cyber dummies when "Punk" (oh soooo hard my ears bled.....NOT) was played at midnight? I didnt hear any problem with the later set.......I agree both where similar but Id rather have two bangin sets than be bored sitting on my arse till 1am like I have done before...
ill 2nd that like! u prob would of like scalliwell when he was @ promise tho... he played a lil technoey, sum hard trance but alot of gud trance! as 4 the warm up stuff... it right that the first dj should try and build it for the dj after him (whos usualy harder). isnt this 'warming up'? theres nothing wrong with being a warm up dj tho. richie does it all the time, matt hardwick does it most weeks at crasher. theyt both are well respected and prob both love what they do!
