Never actually seen him but heard a few sets and he doesn't play like his productions with Slide like what was relased on Fire. Loads of breakbeat and tech-y stuff.

I'd love to see him play, we should start a 'Bring Cass to Newcastle' petition. Or even better, everyone should come along to the first Fragile to check out Tyler Stadius and tell Paul yourself!! The more people at the first night the more chance another ones gonna happen and the more chance we'll get Cass!!!

Think thats probably why Fire records didn't last. A lot of the tunes they were releasing near the end really didn't seem like the kind of stuff Cass or Lee Burridge would play. And whats the point in releasing stuff on your own label that your not gonna be totally into.

So far Cass's label Sabotage Systems is a bit more of a reflection of his sets. Check out Cass's recent '8' mix album for what I mean. It also features a track by our own Paul Lancaster, 'Don't Stop Burning'. Quality Stuff!!!!

I agree, the tune would be basic as fuck without the vocal, quality all round.

Yeah, it folded quite a while back. They had some quality releases but in my opinion seemed to go bit downhill (too many vocal tracks) at around the same time they changes the record sleeves with a few exceptions like Fever Rising.

Not to worry though, now Cass has Sabotage and Slide and Lee Burridge both have started their own labels but I forget what either of them are called.

Fire Recordings was one of my favourite labels but Cass, Slide + Lee Burridge were all moving in different directions as DJs and prooducers.

Lee Burridge wanted to concentrate more on his Tyrant project with Craig Richards as well as his own busy DJ schedule and albums for GU. Cass' new label Sabotage Systems is putting out some quality music from a broad range of styles (prog, tech-house, acid house + breaks) and Slide is showing his true talent with a whole host of amazing remixes and productions on his new label Frontier.
