Get your Roxxoff ? 'Viagra pop' banned by drinks body Retailers were yesterday ordered not to stock a so-called "Viagra pop" due to go sale in Britain next week, which claims to use herbs to boost sexual performance. The Portman Group, a self-regulatory body funded by the drinks industry, decided the name Roxxoff had "clear sexual connotations". It criticised a website which boasted the vodka-based fruit drink contained "herbal libido boosters" and would create a "race of randy super-beings". In a separate ruling the panel upheld complaints about a website for the vodka-based alcopop WKD. The site included an interactive "breast-matching" game, pole-dancing and saucy electronic postcards. Yours Alternatively, the Surrey firm behind Roxxoff, vowed to press ahead with the launch. Chris Williams, marketing manager, said: "I think the Portman Group is an old boys' club and a collection of puppets. It is quite laughable that they are trying to protect the commercial status of their members while at the same time contributing to under-age drinking by allowing other alcopop products to be sold in shops."
