wouldn't he be a bit expensive for the backroom, I'm guessing now he's done mixmag he's a crasher resident or regular (can't remember which) his booking fee's will of gone through the roof.... Prolly too expensive for the little room, they'd have to have queues - it would be way to hot and crowded.

I am one of the many who would love to see eddie at promise, maybe if you got the bouncers to nab all his hard house records leaving just mind numbing hard trance... I am actually fed up of putting dj's in a boxes, what with hard house, itallian house, hardtrance, techno, its impossible to put dj's in boxes - if you told me a year ago Picottos style of hard dirty technoy type music would go down in promise I'd of laughed at you.... but what a good night was had by all - I mean DJ Elite - the fuckt camera is hardly progressive!!!!

Eddie Halliwell isn't your tidy boys cheesey class of hard house, he's forever changing his style... maybe give him a little try?

btw dave is right on the sundis remark... not his usual self!

agrees completely bout mr halliwell not bein his usual fantastico self at SSnorf on nyd but he was still good, just played a more hard house set than his usual hard tranceyness!

if halliwell can play crasher then he can deffo play promise...i mean both clubs feature practially the same line ups. the last time i saw him at crasher he played a hard TRANCE set and even at SSNE he played mostly hard trance so why not get him at promise...virtually everyone wants him so why not?

i'd rather him than tiesto anyday...

    Errrr........ No thanks.

Scalliwell's music is just a bit er...... SHIT.

He plays a few decent tracks but most of it is fucking pap. The music quality is like next to zero (UK Hard House level).

I like "MUSIC" and thats what I get at Promise.

I dont want "BANG BANG BANG UGGGH" like Scalliwell plays.

Its music for unintelligent children who like to take drugs and say, "Oh this is hard as fook" a lot.

Schrigger you don't like the new direction?!?!?

I loves it, think incorporating proggie with harder DJ's is the best move promise has made, theres summit for everyone - with top notch prog dj's returning throughout 2002 (corvin dalek ), as well as residents like tulip!!!!! I think we're onto a winner theres something for everyone be it lucien foort, mauro picotto, joy kitikonti, tiesto.... You can't tell me your not moist at the thought!

Last year the solid proggie policy emptied the club, I personally found it too boring, I like proggie but not for 6 hours solid!!!! And most of newcastle must of been in my boat cos the club was always half full...

Now you have blinding progressive warm up sets by tony n tulip as well as guest sets by dj's like lucien foort and corvin dalek.... then when we're all more enegetic than Marissa in a sweet shop they give us residents like Hardwick and Ornadell, or guests like tiesto and picotto.... 2002 is the year for promise!

Nope I'm all in favour of the new promise :D :D :D
