DJ Groupie

Would you class yourself as one??
do you never move from the front of the club constantly trying to get a piece of the DJ??
when the night comes to an end do you rush over the get into that DJ booth to think your part of his/her "group"?
must say it gets daft sometimes - when i lived in scotland there would be more people in the booth of our local then sardines in a tin

wouldnt say i was a groupie, but i generally shake the djs hands, i even got sasha to shake mine, he was ignoring everyone practically.

I remember once i got into the dj booth @ Gatecrasher when Guy Ornadel was on @ Summer Slam - i dont know how but i ended up in there and was thrown out after about 5 mins - looking down into a packed club from that booth is spot on like !

I then got me camera developed and somehow had a picture of him loving it which id never taken - i would rather tho be out the club loving it than at the back as the chances are i wouldnt know the DJ anyways

I don't see the point in 'DJ Groupies' tbh.
Most of the ones that manage to blag their way into the booth just stand there looking caught in the headlights, or get in the DJ's way anyway.
And what's the point? Cos it makes you look important? Yeah right!

As Geordie says, you might as well be on the floor loving the music unless you know the DJ

some of the randoms you see in the dj booth, just there cos its 'cool'
id rather be dripping with sweat down the front then posing in the booth

people who spend the whole night in the back room / DJ booth really get on my tits.

If i was gonna sit on a sofa all night then id do it at home and save money - fair enough if you know the DJ and you can compliment him / her on there set but there's been times when ive been and been at the ammount at the end !

I could see some DJ's having none of that - im sure the Shindig must have a diff policy as i aint ever seen it full there :spangled:

Busiest I've seen the booth at Shindig was John Digweed in February, rest of the times it's only really the Shindig crew in there.

How it should be tbh, the most annoying thing in the world when yr tryin to play a set and you've got someone talkin in yr ear all the time :evil:

i dont like groupies when im/mates playing we dont mind when its who ever comes to the gigs with em gets in the box but then u get little groupies try to push you out the way to get to who ever is playing so i just go and dance
