if its not broke dont fix it

If its not broken dont fix it!!
Dont jump on the HH bandwagon - If Promise is gonna grow its got to keep its distinct sound at the forefront, dont dilute it- its about complimenting sounds and the two work well 2getha.
Gettin rid iof the Always room shudnt even be in discussion.
and pur-lease!wots with all the comparisons to Shindig? its an insult to Shindig to compare the two
    SO LEAVE IT OUT!!!

*builds up the courage to argue with pocahontas*

The Always room is broke, it is rarely at full capacity - lately the figures have been really down in it.. Saying that it was very busy for Dino on friday...

Its not Shindig your right, but in my eyes it does try to be a mini dig... just like promise is finding its trancey feet - I think the always room needs its own identity - it may well be US Garage I don't know.. I personally think HH would pull more people... which at the end of the day is the whole point of it.

No one will travel for the always room as a funky house room as saturday nights at shindig are far better... they'll save their money... I personally think it needs something different and unique... which will encourage people to travel to it.

thats just my thoughts... aregue aqay queen bitch :p

I'm just saying hard house would be my choice.... most of us rarely stray into the always room... What would your preference be keith? ;)

lol, well Keith hard house would be good for bringing in the crowds, and i know alot of people like it so it would be a good choice in that way. I wouldnt mind having a dedicated prog room but then again the new crowd that is arriving at promise may not go for it, or even some techno but then again i would have my doubts about it getting a decent following.
If i had the choice i would have drum & bass there, it would have a good crowd and alot more of mates would come out, but thats just for my reasons really.
Myabe it should just stay funky

I am going to take back what I said b4, after reading everones comments to date, I can see the pros and cons, and although a new feel always room would be great with HH, i think once certain people get wind of it, it will attract the wrong crowds! Do you aggree?

How about once a month HH is the night in the promise room? That way Lashes, tidy boys, etc could come up and be impressed by what we have to offer! Is that to peeps taste?

I have been going to promise since oct last year and have missed only a few nights and I can feel that i have changed as a person since then it has showed me that I can be confident, I can talk to people that i wouldnt have dreamed of talking to b4 altough I wanted to, I havent moved on to being cyber yet but do dress a bit mad when I can. And I just dont want that feeling that i get when I walk through the door to change!

    I LOVE IT THERE

I still want a lazer though!!!

even though its tempting to say hard house in the back room... i used to have so much fun taking the mick out of the poor peeps bumpin and grindin in crasha's back room. with dino and corey on spinnin out phat groovalicious choons. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

anyway.........the main room should vary slightly from week to week so it never gets stale and bring. saying that a bit of continuity is good.... blimey its ard being a promoter int it!!! realistically... having tiesto as a weekly ressie (amazin as it wud be) int gunna happen.

so i fink having hardwick as a weekly/fnghtly ressie. add a dash of ornadel, a pinch of john 00 and lashings of german spice (talla and taucher) et voila. complete with a van buuren placed on top for good measure.

    creases what creases?

    ..hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

what about having the back room for up and comings.... break em in gently like ;) wth gg as ressie... two birds one stone! it wud be nice having named dj's like lisa lashes etc etc in there but is it big enuff?.?.?.will it attract that many people to warrant handing out pots of dosh to the likes of her.

also speaing from manc-experience...... hard house attracts wigan pier hardcore scallies

I think the line ups this year for the main room are amazing... specially kitkointi and halliwell!!!

    As far as ressies goes:

    richard tulip
    matt hardwick
    guy ornadel

    don't get much better!!!!

hardhouse wud totally ruin promise for the bakroom i think!

it wud probs pul in a few xtra ounters but arent alot nof these gona b sweaty charvers? :p

+ the chances of gettin the tidy boys/lashes to play in the bk room of promise wud neva happen init!they must get paid a shedload 2 play at sundiss or woteva so it wudnt happen!

if a 3rd room is gettin whacked in then only maybe shud hh b considered but in general isnt hardhouse just goin further n further downhill??

admittadley hard trance is still gud, but thats played in the main room....n havin the samey music in2 rooms is a bit crap! (like sundiss b4 the funkissential bit!)

variety needs2 b had + ya need the bakroom too stay funky + its nice n cold if ya feelin a bit overdun n need to relax a bit or sumat!!!!

    :)

where in manc ya from?? golden was great coz all the scallies left tangled and pissed off there.....now theyre back again.

the first tme i wnt 2 tangled, a bouncer gt shot. its a shame its full of mancs int it. i blame it all on reebock classics maself. soon as the townies and scallies don a pair they think theyre al capone (like he'd be seen dead in em) or tyson. reebock classics, 50% nylon 50% plastic, 100% attitude. free pair of cartoon socks to pull over ya trackies with every purchase.

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

terry and phil are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! terry got the short spikey hair... cany believe u dnt like him!! they got a bank hol spesh on there 28th march 10th birthday classics night with altern8 doin a set. well worth a visit.

im from whitefield, hme of totally mashed and the forts of india. the finest curry in whitefield.

spankeys dont attract the wrong crowd as such, its just that its in the biggest shithole ever. ancoats is full of scag bags and pro's. murder trying to get a cab home. the funny thing about there is that theres more bouncers than clubbers (security conscious??) and those fucking hooj iron gates that close the courtyard off. just incase n e 1 tries to ram the place.
