    Would you say

there are many differences in the way you (from the north east) and I (from yorkshire) was brought up?

Regional Influences I mean, apart from the obvious, the way we speak. The way we do things, how we do them, the way we react to things etc.

When you go abroad you notice these kind of differences more don't you with the locals, but I'm sure there are some that we have, and me to you and you to me.

Like on holiday you come across people from all over the country there, but you're more likely to click more with someone from your own area than from somewhere else in the UK, but why is that?

That's Shauns' thought of the day.

not always nessacarily the same area, just areas that are similiar, e.g i might be wrong and other people probs find the opposite, but always seem to get on well wit scousers when am on holiday, maybe this is because of their lifestyle being similar to our own, they always have good humour.. or similar to geordies sense of humour, and i think thats one thing that differs alot in alternate areas of the uk.

Yeah, humour is a good one, and I think generally northerners are on the same wavelength.

If I'm meeting someone for the 1st time, I'd think I'd be more at ease and comfortable meeting a fellow northerner than some southerner if I'm really honest. I'm not worrying about how I say things for one

I'm watching Kilroy now and there's some families on there from London and they seem abit full on, they just seem so violent in the way of settling things and find it acceptable, carrying guns and knifes and for their children to be like that. Definately raising an eyebrow or 2 to this. I saw a documentary not long ago about an estate in south London and I was shocked

i was brought up in London... its def friendlier up north:D Thats what really fucks me off about workin down here, no ones got time for anyone, no one speaks to randoms on the tube, everyone jsut sits there looking miserable... On the other hand, u see a lot more charvs/whatever you want to call them, never really see any in London.. i know they exist, but to find em, u need to look for them.

you can batter anyhting in the north east its the law.

also in teesside, we have undoubtedly the greatest takeaway dish of all time in the form of the chicken/pork parmesan.

its what makes us great as a region. ;)
