i know this aint a shindig msg board, but does anyone know whose playing at the dig next minth?
all i know is steve lawler on the first
i wanna know which monday to get off work, cos ive got days to use up!
any info will be most appreciated!

i was gonna go to digweed, but its my girlfriends brothers engagement party in leeds, so ive gotta go to that!
gonna see tim deluxe at basics instead, though im gutted about missing diggers

digger is on at the shack in march for a 4 hour set - ask damocles bout it if ya still wanna c him!!!

Was anyone there for DJ Dan? Bout 4th tune in he took the needle off the tune he'd just mixed in! Scott Bradford played a class warm-up set, ended with a Lexicon Avenue (i think) mix of I Wish you were here - Creamer, John & Stephane K, lovely!

But i was talkin 2 a m8 on fri who goes 2 Promise & Shindig!!
He seems 2 think i will start 2 like as i get older

But i heard that it is full of posers, is this true?

Does have an older crowd, and house tends to appeal to 'grown-up' ears more. Does have lots of poseurs and try-hards, as it's a cool night, but also lots of people there just for the tunes. Just ignore them, head for the dance-floor and get into the groove :chill:

This might sound strange does it play the same kinda music as the always room?

Cos i aint ever been in there 4 longer than about 5 mins, if so i'll make a point of spending a bit more time in there

im not a regular patron of shindig, however i have been a fair few times - it's a great night, ive had very few complaints about the crowd, and while i would take an 'average' promise night over an 'average' shindig night, the 'great' shindig nights are really something special. (mmmmmmm... roger sanchez )

Shindig only ever play 'True House Music' but this can vary from prog to funky to tribal to deep, but it's all house. The Always room used to be House & US Garage, and used to be very similar, but I wouldn't say so now.

You need more than a few minutes to get into house, couple of hours should do it

WHAT A OF LOAD SHIT!!! My mates go all the time & I am older than them & I would'nt say they were posers either!!. I dont go because I have been about 10 times over the last 5 years and I just cant get into it.

Shindig is Newcastle's best club it has lasted the course of time and brought some of the best DJs in the world to Newcastle.
