This got played at a house night in Cosmic the other month, maybe jaunt or something. Unsure which mix though!

I've never known if it was Tulip that played this or one of the Shindig dj's like Dave Seaman or someone like that. It was in my head for years before I ID'd it, such a fucking tune either way.

All about the driving techy prog.

SECT are these actually promise tunes, or have you diverged from the title of the thread?

Am I the only one posting tunes that I actually remember from promise?

Ha ha ha! Im struggling to remember because I used to go to Promise and Shindig continuously. I can remember seeing people like Dave Seaman, Danny Howells, and Anthony Pappa banging out the prog early doors before the main DJs came on.

My main clubbing era was the late nighties. I went to the opening night of Promise. Between Promise and Shindig I picked up my love of prog trance :)

Just had a flashback to Shindig on NYE 1999 - they had fireworks inside the club. T'was an amazing night!

Okay well this isnt's strictly a promise tune but I remember hearing it at Godskitchen 2002 @ The Telewest Arena.

I was on my first pills and I can remember for a few weeks afterwards whenever I listened to this I felt like I was on wired on pills again.

    This got played too:

More from that night at the arena in 2002:

I can always remember being absolutely off my fucking face (I think they were MDA pills) in the corridor and hearing Fingers Burnt - For a Devil and recognising it. Not the best tune though.

Other tune from that night instead:

And Promise 2002 with John 00 Fleming:

Yip... well, I think a couple of them were broadcast on Galaxy, but this was one of them. September 2002. Set order went:

    Fleming
    Tall Paul
    Ferry Corsten
    Armin
    Tiesto
    Scot Project
    Mauro Picotto

I think I've heard that Tiesto set! Twas quality! Quite surprised at Fleming being on first as well tbh - I know he didn't have quite the profile he does now like

The original of this was played at the Telewest but this mix is better. Both mixes were probably played a canny bit in Newcastle I reckon.
